TULIP has been an established European developer of attendance systems for eight years. It has solutions for standard office companies, but also for the attendance of retail chains. After eight years, it was time for a change and a technological leap. Completely new development team worked for over a year on the new attendance system, built on the latest technologies.
Attendance Heron is an easy, mobile record of working time and absences. It provides high data security and compliance with legislation. It is now free for 30 days for anyone interested.
“We wanted the Heron to be faster, more modern and more affordable than our flagship TULIP. Both are still major products. But while TULIP is a wide-ranging system with many HR modules in addition to attendance, Heron will focus only on employee attendance, at least initially. It will be a simple system for any type of company,” says Dušan Rehák, Heron’s product father.
In Heron, the HR employee will have full control over the system, there will be no need to contact the TULIP team in case of major changes in the settings. HR becomes the full administrator of the company’s attendance system. The changes are also in the appearance, although, as Dušan Rehák says: “We kept the dark design with Heron, just like it is in TULIP. It is our trademark, we will not change it. We don’t want to be another in the queue of attendance systems with a similar interface. TULIP is different and even its 2.0 version – TULIP Heron – sticks to what makes us different. Just with improved technology.”
No clock-in/out, simple online attendance management
Despite the myth that in order to comply with legislation you need a monitoring system to record employee attendance, TULIP did not opt for a hardware solution this time either. “From time to time such a request still occurs, but we rejected it even for the TULIP Heron. We will not sell any terminals, smart cards or biometric scanners. In short, we are not a suitable supplier for this type of request. If you need to record the attendance of employees, regardless of where they work, their absences and get error-free records due to output for wages, then Heron is suitable for you,” says Dušan Rehák. “Beeps” are typically requested mainly by manufacturing companies, where this request is understandable. However, office companies have alternatives that are more convenient and suitable for both the company and the employees. TULIP Heron is one of them. In addition, the employee can customize her/his account himself. They will customize the visual of the start screen according to the functions and type of absences that they use most often.
TULIP Heron has been on the market since May, and the Czech website Business IT has already included it in the Notable Product of 2024 selection.
